I have the new firmware 4.0.1.A.0.238 LT15i updated via PCC today.

Seems snappier (wishful thinking).
3D panorama (Did not work yet for me).
3D gallery app.
Screenshots in power menu.
New time widget.
Facebook share integration stuff.

Install it and you will see 5 folders
                                   Custom
                                   Drivers
                                   Firmwares
                                   Loaders
                                   X10Flasher_lib
take the firmware to the "Firmwares" folder
click on Falsh
Press Ok
it will ask you to connect your phone on Flashmode (turn off your phone, press the back button, then connect the USB) press OK

Apparently if you want to backup the games data, you need to have a rooted phone and use a different version of Mybackup ie Mybackup root.

I quite like the new animation. Just want to see if it is the same as what you describe.

Also, I updated my firmware over the air. Not sure exactly when it was available. It could have been earlier but been busy lately.

It was quick and easy and also the phone settings and data were preserved

At the first boot it there is a pop up window asking if you want to back up online to Google.

so the only drawback on 2.3.4 is the absence of crt off animation??? i don't know why they are removing such good feature man... what a waste...

also..the keyboard now has bold letters....not cool...

*does it save ALL of your apps other than AM ???

*And does it save the data in an app ???

For example; I'm using BI notes app , and I've saved many notes in it . I'm afraid to lose those notes:smileycry: . Please tell me will I lose my notes IF I do the update ?

no it dint save any of the data....for no game

as apc user said the phone shud be rooted..

i have a note appplication "note everything"

and there were many notes

and they backed up

when u'l click on backup in the application

it'll ask u to backup what thing..

ie applications or data..

if ur note application comes in data option..this will mean all ur notes will be saved

mine got saved..

but first backup ur applications then go to data..

if in data , ur notes application is not showing then it may not back it up..not sure :+

but i lost all data of my NOVA game

uninstalled it

it seems it has to do witht the game itself too, robotek doesn't require that backup, the game data is stored on the SD card
