Hey,
I have had the Xperia XA for about a week now and I am already having issues with it. Typing is a very important part of using a mobile phone and when it comes to me messaging people be it for social media or work-emails, 60% of the time, the phone messes up by locking the Q key in and anything in that area- so when i try to type, it adds random Q's to words and the flow-text mixes up my sentences by adding more Q's.
I absolutely love the Xperia range but recently, with the failure of my M4 aqua and now the XA, I am losing hope. Any fixes or tips to solve my keyboard issue?
Could you test it:
settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the touchscreen
also, test it in >>> safe mode
Hi @Mat-Hopkins,
Did your phone pass the test in diagnostics? Are you using the preinstalled Swiftkey keyboard? If so you could try clearing data for the Swiftkey app, go to Settings > Apps > Scroll down to Swiftkey > Storage > Start by clearing Cache and reboot your phone (as that will not affect stored data), if clearing Cache doesn't help I'd suggest you instead press Clear data. Note that this will reset the app and any saved data will be removed.
If you are signed into Swiftkey I'd recommend that you wat until after testing the keyboard until you sign in again.
