X2 Memory card troubleshooting

I have been using a X2 & already updated the software, The worst problem my cell is faceing is the memory card corruption.. The memory card gets corrupted suddenly, the memory used is shown but the file's are not visible. I keep formatting the card. I always switch off the phone b4 removing the card but still facing this problem. If anyone has or had the same problem pls let me know how to resolve the problem. Thanx

Have you tried using another memory card and/or running the SE update service on your phone?

A soft reset with tha card in the phone should fix it.

No, you can change SD cards and reset the phone a thousand times, you will still have this problem I'm afraid!

This is in fact a hardware problem with the phone.

Newertheless there is a solution, or should we say a workaround: By means of a registry change you may keep the SD-card powered up at all times.

It will drain the battery a bit faster, but it is 100% worth it! At least until SE comes up with a (better) fix...which I'm afraid is not very likely at the time.

X2_SDFix.cab by XDA developers solves the problem, and it is also absolutely mandatory for the stability of this phone.

You download X2_SDFix.cab to your phone and run it, and it will change the necessary registry settings.

Thank you for that link Prydplante!  Now, I had this problem, but as soon as I had set up a partnership with a laptop, the storage card became visible again both on the laptop and the X2. Are you sure it is a hardware problem?  The reason I "lost" the card was that I used the reset feature in SKTools to perform a hard reset. Then I got a clean X2 without the buggy last SE update and panels. The phone now works great and fast and it can also run the latest SPB Mobile Shell if anyone wants that. And the top bar started to work.

Yes it may work for some time, but sooner or later you will experience that the contents on the SD-card gets corrupted.

Or that the SD-card is not detected.

Or that you will have to remove the battery to get the phone working again.

Installing the registry changes will make the phone more stable and will make the lurking SD-card problem go away.

I had hard reset also using Sk tools and my memory card on x2 also cannot be read by my phone, can you help me on the steps you made, thank you.

already fix my memory card issues, only power saving function of x2 i guess, when i had i fully charge, it already notice the memory card. i hard reset using sk tools and it give me a clean wm 6.5.3.

but still needed to install x2 application cab from xda to use other functions of x2 such as the camera.
