X10mini pro as modem impossible

I was dissapointed today. My x10_mini_pro have not the possibility to work as a modem, not even via cable 😞

I thought such functionality was std today and I cant understand why a phone like X10mini should lack that possibilty?

Is there any hope for an upgrade, or do I have to buy another phone?

Has anyone any suggestions for running on a linux pc as PDANet isn't supported on linux yet? I've spent a while trawling through the internet with no success.

Strange when you consider that the root of the android software is linux!!

Any help would be appreciated.

Googling "android tether linux" shows a couple of refrences to "Proxoid" as well as several other references.

Maybe you should contact the authors of PdaNet and raise a request for a Linux OS version.
