Hi all,
I have a RACHAEL XPeria X10
Type: AAD-3880056-BV CB5
Prototype build: AP1
SI 1228-3677.1K
Last firmware update through the device update app was stuck and afterwards the device wont boot anymore.
I would have tried Flashtool as suggested around here but i can't seem to get into flash mode.
No, i'm not a moron, i tried both the "shut down, press back while connecting USB" and "take out battery, connect USB and press back while placing battery" (exactly as shown on youtube when searching "xperia x10 flash"), but none worked.
I also tried this with all the other existing buttons, but nothing worked!!!:smileyconfused:
All it does is blink the red light under the USB after connecting it.
Also, when trying to turn on device, the red light triple blinks repeatedly.
Is there any other method (or does prototype device behave differently) that i can put the phone into flash mode?
Is there any other alternative to flashing the device?
Thanks
do you have both update service and pc companion installed on your pc..they are necessary..
I agree with slimshaddy make sure you install PC Companion even if you already have it, re-install PCC
Hi,
I've just spent an hour or so re-installing both Update Service and PCC on several different computers, one of them was recently formatted. Tried with both XP and Windows7, even changed the USB cable i'm using.
Nothing worked - after connecting the USB cable (while back is pressed) i still get a blinking red light instead of green light.
I was thinking maybe prototype devices have a different sequence to enter flash mode, or maybe there's another way to flash a bricked device.
Please, can anyone help?
Someone from Sony Ericsson devices group maybe?
Thanks
the red flash indicates that you need to charge your battery
That's another weird thing - when i plug in the charger it has the same blinking red. So i take out the battery, and put it back in. Only then the light is solid green, but after a while it goes back to being blinking red.
If blinking red means the battery is not charging or is dead, and the phone is bricked, how am i suppose to charged the battery?
FYI, i already tried leaving the phone in the charger for the night (and it was blinking red all that time).
yout battery level should be more than 50 or 60%
is it ??
charge upto 70-80 then try..
oh i see...umm.wait for him to reply..dont know..
I have no clue in what level the battery is. That's why i left it all night and assumed it would be fully charged in the morning.
While having it plugged in to the charger, i was reminded by another weird thing - after a while when it is plugged, there's an icon of X10 with exclamation mark in a triangle.
I'm guessing this means the device tried to boot while charging and failed.
you need to use either Flashtool to repair your phone or send it to SE repair center, now does the LED turn on at all when you connect it to the charger? does it turn Orange/Yellow?
