Hi if you are having problems with sd card un mounting please get in contact with me with the size and make of card.
sony micro sd 2gb
Mine keeps saying SD card damaged or removed but the card seems fine and works again for awhile if I take it out and re-insert it.
It's a 16Gb Sandisk.
I bought the phone 3 days ago and put a 16 gig Sandisk Class4 sd card but it keeps unmounting the card saying "sd card is damaged"
If you are getting a message stating that the card is damaged I would strongly advise formatting the card to prevent the loss of data in the future.
How should I format the card? FAT, FAT32, NTFS?
If the phone will pick it up for long enough I would advise doing it that way, however if this is not an option please choose FAT32.
My sd card continually 'unmounted'. The trick if you haven't read it elsewhere is to only push the card into the slot a little way using the back of the phone to keep it in place!!! Occasionally (2 or3) the card has unmounted for me since doing this, in 8/9 months as opposed to daily.
Hope this helps.
hi i have got a problem with my sd card , i took my mobile phone yesterday and i cant transfer files like pictures music . my memory is 2 gb what can i do?
My card is a Kingston 8gb, now the phone is telling me every time I power it on that the card is damaged but the card is perfectly readable on my PC.
It seems that I am not the only one with the problem; this must be a firmware issue and should be resolved by Sony!
