Hi SE-users
I've had my SE X10 mini pro for 5-6 months now, and it keeps restarting. It is like the phone restarts more and more often. I couldn't seem to find any other thread about this problem with X10 mini, only about the phone restarting when it is connected to a computer, but i don't have that problem.
....This is quite annoying, cause people can't call me after the phone has restarted.. i don't normally notice that it has restarted, so there often goes hours before i find out that people has been trying to contact me. It normally restarts about 1-3 times every day.
Have anyone else been having this problem with the X10 mini/pro? and possibly found a solution?
by the way.. sorry if my english is bad.. I am from Denmark soo:)
Hi, have you done any Software repair on your X10 mini pro?
Yeah, I have this same issue with my phone.
Most likely it's a software issue. Try repairing phone software or update to latest version (if available).
Hi
Thank you for your answer. I am going to try reparing now. If it doesn't work, i will write again:)
When I first bought my Xperia Mini it restarted every 2 minutes, and would not make calls or connect to a wifi network! I went back to the store and they did a software reset. Then it seemed to work fine, but I wanted to see if it could connect to a wifi network, so we tried that, and what do you know - the resets returned.... so they had to replace my phone and the ne one works perfectly. If you still have a warranty I suggest you simply replace the phone. If not, I'm afraid you're screwed.
I have similar issues with my phone, and they keep returning even after reflashing the device (I even tried clearing the SD card at the same time once).
The phone has good days and bad days. Last thursday and friday it restarted at least 20 times over the course of those two days. I could see it restarting now and then while it were just laying there next to my laptop. And sometimes it can go days between reboots. It's not clearly linked to how much I use the phone either.
Issues I have other than spontaneous restarts of the phone are restarts of the phone app, or homescreen. Or some aggressive memory freeing action making my phone have lots of free RAM, but not allowing me to keep apps started for more than a few seconds.
I do not have many apps installed (you can't really have that many with the limited internal memory).
One time recently, it even looked like it was working and had a signal, but I could not start the dialer. Trying to engage Airplane mode to force a reset failed, and I then tried shutting it off completely. That failed too, and it ended up with me having to yank the battery.
As soon as I find a temporary replacement phone I will have to turn this phone in and see if there is anything they can do. Replace it hopefully.
I guess you are right, you have no other options but to turn your phone in for a 'checkup'.
Good luck!
