x10 - 2.3.3 Update Memory Card Problem

I updated my x10 today to the new 2.3.3 and the memory card, 8gb in FAT32 that I have had in the phone since I got it, is no longer being detected by the phone at all.

I have tried the service update, first without the memory card in and then with the memory card in, that did nothing.  The memory card socket is clean and free of any dust.  The memory card is still working as I have connected it to my computer and can still see all my files.

I dont want to go back to the old version if I can help it, but after the past few hours of trying to fix this problem, I am getting frustrated with it and can't seem to find a solution yet.

PLEASE HELP!

Hi, one thing you could try .... Copy everything from SD Card to PC/Laptop, format SD Card, then transfer everything back to SD Card. See if this works. Good luck.

Why do I have the feeling that you miss me?

Tried that as well, didn't work, I put my 2gb memory card in and that seems to work fine, so i am assuming that it is a problem with anything over 2gb, not sure why though because, like I said, I have had this *gb memory card since I bought the phone, and 2gb realy isn't enough space...

when you transfer everything to your PC make sure you do this

1) open any folder -> click on tools -> properties -> view -> show hidden files

2)  mount the old SD card, go to your SD card, press Ctrl + A then Ctrl C, on your desktop create a new folder, open it, then press CTRL + V

3) reformat your SD card

4) mount the SD card, open the folder you just created, press Ctrl + A then Ctrl C, open your SD card, Ctrl + V

That is what I did, my hidden folders are shown anyways

Not sure if you want to perform the Update again (Software Repair for this case), at least you are sure it is not due to a update 'badly done'.
