Basicly, my cuestion and petition is simple as I made at Sony Spain
Do we, customers of the Sony Smartphone brand, in this case, the ST25i model or any other one, we will be capable to Unlock the bootloader by our own methods? (A program kind of FlashTool/PC Companion) Without having to get the Sony´s S.A.T. support on it? So, we don´t have to disturb with the unlocking at your S.A.T. Being a minority amount of people, where the thousands who bought this cell, who like to have complete acces to theyr phones, where they would like to experiment and develop for it. This is not only my case, is the case of all those developers or testers all arround the world, this is not only profitable for us, users and consumers of Sony Technology, you, Sony, as consumers, you can always learn and get some ideas from those developers.
This is not a personal petitio, is a petition from all those people who where able, after purchasing our cell/products, we should have our right to get full access to our phone.
I am refering to the Bootloader status, in the case of those phones wich are not unlocked...
Greetings to Sony Team and to all Users
this is more of a legal agreement between sony and carriers, carriers request bootloaders to be locked, I think there's a way to unlock it but it's quite complicated, check the XDA forum

unrelated topic, if you have some time please check this thread
So, after locking them, and the request of the npoeple who asks for it, to unlock it, does not make cost on sony company?
In that case, this cost has to be payed by the company wich asks for the locking
And if we keep thinking, sony should have the right to, from this thought, to allow by a software method to be unlockable, since it is making costs on the request by customer demanding the unlock, without paying the price of transport and work
If you see the logic of this, sony has the right to develop a software for it, without breaking the agreement with the carrier, unless the carrier pays the costs of the unlocking procedour of that phone, could be Movistar, T-Mobile, etc...
PD: A second option, is by checking those S.A.T. where they are able to free-carrier by IMEI, where they have tools as Z3X, Medusa, JTAG or else, where they are able to do many thing with it, there should be a tool of them wich is capable to do that job, since sony, most of times, and I am sure, subcontracts other services to do this kind of jobs.
Unless I am wrong in something, I think here is the way of solve this problem.
Greetings again for this feedback
there were some Movistar users that wanted their bootloader unlockable and movistar agreed to allowed them to do so, so Movistar contacted Sony and those users had to take their phones to a sony repair center so that could be changed. so in your case perhaps your carrier can help you with that.
Yes I know, my carrier, wich in this case is Moviestar, can do that for me, but this is not only about me, is about all those who want the bootloader unlocked. Be sure, I will ask for it next week when I will resurect my SII, so the waiting time wont be lost.
But please, if you see, this coments, are completly correct, so is more easy for us, customers and sony, the company to leave in our hands the integrity of our cell phones.
Hope someone of the sony company see this and thinks about it, since it is a coherent peitition.
Thanks for your time
So, any news? any coment from the Sony office team?
