WisePilot ver 4.6 (600319) downloaded 14 Jan 13 onto an Xperia Sola bought new same month with latest updates for Android 4 downloaded after purchase. The WisePilot website has no “contact” unless you sign up for a download. Having downloaded, it gave me a login and password on my Sony Experia Sola. Despite that, it will not accept my login on the website, so I cannot communicate for tech support. It asked me for my email address but when I tried to use that to get a new login it said that the email address was not known. When wanting to “drive” to a selected location from those offered as a result of a search, it said “waiting for valid position” and then “no GPS position available” yet it was shown at the bottom of the screen and it was able to find my location on the map and for listings when searching for local businesses etc. Positions only a few km’s away were shown as over 4,000 kms away. Selecting “continue” to “call route from last known post” it said “unable to calculate” and “not a valid road” or it just kept “calculating”. Menu does not load unless connected to the internet, so the program is useless if unable to get a phone signal and despite preloading (and paying for) 100MB of Australia. Any ideas anyone?
Better Use GOOGLE MAP's NAVIGATION... its the best voice guided system..
I agree with bluechip850 Google Maps its really good, even if you don't have a data plan you could download the map (offline map)
Thanks bluechip850 & uliwooly for the tip. I tried it and it follows a route on the downloaded maps even when offline but only if you set the destination online. Once offline it won't do a new route. However you can still use the downloaded Google maps with the GPS when offline which is very useful.
