Why isn't this built in as standard in the PC companion & Media Go? Neither of them have the option to use wifi.

I bought wifi file transfer pro from the Play Store, and it works ok, but would be great tto have the support within the dedicated software

It does have the option, I think in xperia part of settings but it is so unuser-friendly so I haven't bothered to use it in a while. I think (if you get it working) that you can transfer music, check for updates but you have to use a wire for backups.

Hi Tom,

yeah i had tried that without success, you'd think with a water resistant phone where they push using docks and bluetooth, that they would also develop easy to use built in wifi transfer!

you need to set your pc up as a network location (share) then pair your phone - I did it but since the 4.2.2 update wireless N doesn't work which I have fed back to the devs - I had to disable n on my laptop and it works flawlessly
