Windows 8 SEMC Flash Device Driver

Hi.

For the first time I tried to update my Xperia ARC After I upgraded my operating system to Windows 8. But after the Sony PC Companion or SUC asks to turn off the phone and plug in to computer while holding the back button -debug mode, i think- windows 8 pops up an error which says "usb device is not recognized" and update stucks. I searched the internet but there is no luck for me so far

If there is someone who can solve this problem please help.

It should be working with Win 8 as well. I suggest that you try using other USB ports on your PC and or check if you run into the same problem on another computer.

Hi Johan,

I am also facing the same issue on win 8  USB 3.0 port. Whereas, the same is working on Win7 and Win XP on USB 2.0 ports.

Need a solution as I have to update my phone as well.

Sanket, After I re-installed windows 8 and installed the drivers in a certain order like I read on the official website of my brand, -I don't know which was the real solution re-installing windows or installing drivers in a certain order but..- my problem solved. I think it was just re-installing because other option just doesn't make sense.
