Will upgrading Xperia neo to ICS remove my current wallpaper?

Is there anyway to save the wallpaper? I lost the picture that I used for the wallpaper.

the picture should be stored under -> DCMI -> thumbnails

The wallpaper I'm using is one that I didn't save on my phone as a picture.

As per Uliwooly, the file has to be on the memory card somewhere. How did you get the picture on the handset in the first place?

I believe someone sent it to me via MMS and I don't have that picture anymore.

However to have set this as a wallpaper you would have had to push and hold your finger on the picture in the message and chosen to save it. This would mean it may still be on your memory card in the downloads folder.

I checked my downloads folder and several other possible folders for the image but no luck.
