wifi

I have just not this new phone. When trying to connect to my WiFi it says it's found it but had a authentication problem! The IP address is not there.  Not a problem when using it in the house I'll just use my data plan BUT when I try to connect to the internet it defaults to WiFi which it can't use!  Any answers apart from taking it back? Thanks

Thanks for the info but the router etc are fine as I have other devices connected.  I did  reset the router but still the same problem. Beginning to wish I hadn't bought the phone 😞

You have the WiFi frequency band set to auto in the advance WiFi settings?

The Xperia M supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and if it's set to 5GHz only, it won't see 2.4Ghz

T changed settings and still couldn't get it to work. You'll the phone back and got a full no quibble refund. Still got to keep my £10 gift card because purchase was over £100 😉

Thanks for the advice.
