Wifi wakelock problem?

Is anyone getting this problem with their Z not sleeping, phone would be awake all the time when wifi is off and screen is off, I've track it down to "WifiStateMachine" in betterbatteray app keeping the wakelock held, not sure what the problem is as I have try all sort of different combination of setting, wifi policey, stamina mode on/ff, wifi location on/off, I don't have app sync on as well, no email account active. The problem will go away once restart but will happen again within an hours or so.

Is there fix which can solve this problem or is this a software problem? Any help would be appreciated

it seems that the issue is the preloaded email app, search the forum and you will see, disable it and use K9 or maildroid

Thanks you for your help but I have already try that with not luck, all my incoming are web base I dont use any apps, back to the drawing board

could you try this

1) repair your phone with SUS

2) uninstall mcafee

3) do NOT install any taskillers, task managers, antivirus, battery apps, ram apps, booster apps

4) do NOT sync the email, app or any other app, just gmail, playstore

5) charge your phone 100%

6) restart your phone

7) go to settings > accounts > google > make sure to uncheck everything that might be syncing

😎 do NOT even open the facebook app. (do not log in)

use it for few hours or leave it Idle

check again
