Wifi Problem After Updating... Anyone face this too?

My Xperia P LT22i, bought in Jun 2012

I have a pocket wifi that I've used before and after upgrading to 4.0.4

This pocket wifi works perfectly fine with my phone before updating, but doesn't work after updating.

My pocket wifi device works perfectly fine with all other laptops, phones, etc. I've also contacted the pocket wifi manufacturer for information, tried all approach, but they can't fix anything from their end.

Then now, what can I do with my phone?

I am 100% sure about the pocket wifi is fine.

The phone detects the pocket wifi network, when ever I try to connect this network... it gets into the infinite loop and eventually freezes the wifi and it turns off by itself.

Before connecting, it is detected with full signal strength, I attempt to connect and the strength drops to 1/4...

the cycle goes like this... secured with WPA2 > authenticating > obtaning  IP adress > turning off wifi > turning wifi

HELP PLEASE!

i guess its the bug of the recent software 1.54 for im experiencing that every now and then all i do is restart it and turn off wifi for several min. and after that wifi works again.. and the day after that eithe wifi works or the cycle happens again authenticating>obtaining IP adress> turning off wifi>turning wifi on

how i hope sony will fix that in the next update

If possible check if it works better if you change the network mode to b or g instead of n.
