Wifi not in range. Missing file?

Hi, my wifi networks are all reading as 'Not in Range'. I have tried multiple wifi fixing apps to little avail. It's been suggested that I find and delete /data/misc/wpa_supplicant.conf, however my 'Data' folder shows as empty. Is this my problem? How would I go about correcting this? I am indeed using modified firmware - MiniCM7-2.2.0, but for a year have had no problems. A couple months ago, this happened and I haven't been able to connect to wifi since. My 3G is unaffected. Please help

Not sure what you can do to solve this problem with that rom but to access that folder you will probably need to use a file manager that can use root access like Root Explorer.

You will probably get a better answer in the support thread for that ROM.
