wifi connectivity after 4.3 Upgrade on Xperia SP

prior to upgrade Wifi was working flawlessly and able to connect and have stable connection to any wifi router..

since upgrade i have tried about 2 routers at my frnds home, at first it connects to wifi .. able to access internet and router( via 192.168...) but after some time it looses its connectivity but wifi connection icon is present but i am no more acceesable to internt neither router... i need to swich off and swich on router again and then again it gets connected.. but again after some time i face same issue ..

is there anyone who faced same issue ? any solution other than re upgradinga ? will reset work ?

Hi

the best way to fix this issue, is remove all the access points by using "Forget networks" then , restart the phone, connect Wifi using the access point as first access point, many times this fixes the issue

Try manjuboyz advice...

This problem is mostly by router...I have the same..but mine caused by router...

My connection were dropped even I was near router but in list of Wi-Fi it shows that spot..but it can't connect it try to reconnect and connect after a minute

I had the same problem with Android 4.1 already. In this respect 4.3 performs better although the connection cuts of every now and then. I have no connection problems with other hardware (phones and laptops), so I wouldn't suspect the router at the first place.

To re-establish connection I don't reboot the router but disconnect wifi on my phone and reconnect, as Danial-mach1 does. Don't even have to wait but a few seconds.

I am facing the same issue, i did not have this issue prior to 4.3 upgrade. Now if i have to use my phone for internet, i first check the connectivity, if its not working i disable and enable the wifi again and it starts working again.

This is definately not router based issue as i have 4 different router, 1 in office and 2 at home and 1 at a granies place. All the places i face the same issue.

This is also not device depenant as i got this issue on my divice which was stolen, then i bought the same model again and the same issue is present in this latest device also.

Do you have Bluetooth activated ? My phone doesn't connect to Wifi unless I deactivate bluetooth.

I experience that wifi drops out, too. The probem wasen't present initially, but from december 2013 onwards I've had this annoying drop out problem. My software is updated and the wifi dis disconnects across Five different routers. Solutiton is to disconnect and reconnect by wifi icon. Not really satisfying. I'm considering to claim a new phone from the dealer.

The wifi connection at home is insanely horrible. It only works for a few minutes then it disconnects. Then it says out of range even though Im standing in front of the wifi router. My other android phone works perfectly fine.

what kind of BS is this where I can't use wifi with my sony phone in 2014?

this does not work at all. I still get dropped wifi connections to my home wifi. My Moto G phone sees it and connects to it with no problem.  Neither does my roommate's laptop. Only the Xperia SP has this problem
