wifi connection problem - experia tipo

I've installed a new wireless router. My laptop and tablet (samsung) are able to be connected to the wireless network, but the experia tipo mobile is connected to the netwrok, but no data transfer takes place. Could you please help on the possible solution?

Have you tried to connect this phone to another wireless network to see if the issue is related to settings on the phone/router or the phone itself?
