Wifi and Reboot

Hi there,

Sorry for my bad english, not my language ..

Sry,  this message is very long but you will understand at the end.

I've bought an Xperia U 18 months ago, very good phone since i've put it on Android 4.0 .. (very slow, i should have check internet before to see that the phone wouldn't be able to support this modulation)

But now i have a HUGE problem, and i know looots of people have the exact same thing BUT don't know it's this. I explain my problem :

1. One day, my phone just reboot like that, i don't notice why

2. More and more, my phone begin to reboot but i can't explain why. Strange thing : it sometimes block on the "SONY" logo and reboot a few times.

3. Reboot come more often, once a day. But the problem is : now it reboot more than 10 minutes .. I try all solutions, finally the fact that i put the cable between the phone and a PC makes the reboot stops.

4. Always reboots, but now my solution with the cable don't work. I'm really disapointed and tired of this, and i finally understand that i'm just gonna reboot entirely the system. I loose all my memories, but it's worth it (i thought ...)

5. I have NO more application on my phone, no contacts, no memories and now i understand : begining the WIFI makes the reboot come, and the system installation didn't change anything !!

6. i try to install a new ROM on the system, thought it was Android 4.0 but ... NO ! The phone has a new ROM, a new system but it continues to reboot when i put wifi on.

7. 6 months later : i never put on wifi, or bluetooth. Phone really slow (but it's surely android), no more radio (i don't know if it's the same problem ..)

NOW, just see how many people on the forum will say that they have the 1st, 2nd or ... 7th on my list ! People are just no understing that it's Wifi, or just say that's it's rebooting.

I think we are a lot with this problem, i think i will ask a repair for the phone, but if someone has a solution ...

my xperia u keeps on restarting first when i swtich it on SONY appears then XPERIA den screen flashes and again back to the SONY screen what should i do please help ....

Repair it using SUS or PC Companion

hello, I'm from Brasil, and I got the same problem with xperia! I noticed that every time I turn my wifi on it restarts, and keep on restarting forever! sorry man, but I really desapointed with sony smartphones! can you please give an solution???? because I did all the steps that you said. I updated my android to 4.0 at sony's Bridge for mac... and it's kepping restarting!!! I'll never EVER buy sony's smartphones again! NEVER! :@

Sorry, but i've already seen all those messages, and as i explain in my first message, i know that lot of people have the exact same problem, but sadly i've already try veeery much times to reboot system with PC Companion ..

Thx if someone has another idea 😕

bleh ive been having the same problem for like 6 months .. if i turn my wifi on phone keeps rebooting forever .... i have switched roms and kernals but the problem doesnt get solved on any rom.. ive tried roms from GB to KK but none of them fix the wifi problem .. so basically i cant use wifi on my phone and even if i accidently turn it on .. i have to wipe data to use the phone again 

still no fix -.-

Same problem. My phone works fine so long as wifi is turned off. When wifi is on, phone reboots all the time. Any answers?
