I like the toggle widgets that ship with my new Arc S but there isn't one to turn off auto-refresh to stop Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. from updating when I am at work where the 3G signal is terrible. I thought I'd try the 'Data Traffic' widget but as far as I can tell this stops ANY data from working so I can't do a manual refresh of Facebook, etc.

I used to use the stock Android Power Widget but this is missing from the Arc.

I guess I can download a 3rd-party widget but I'd really like a SE-style one...

you can set the refresh time for this..

go to settings > accounts and sync..

and turn off the auto sync..

just disable it and no application will refresh automatically and you can manually refresh the fb as well

Yep, I realise I can do that but I would prefer if SE had supplied an on/off widget for this like they did other settings like WiFi, GPS, etc. Seems like a strange ommision especially when the stock Android Power Widget isn't included.
