Hi mmoni,

Welcome to the community,

Have you tried connecting to another Wifi connection, one that is not your own and if so what is the result?

This sounds really like congestion problem. If you are seeing like 10+ access points from your phone, when you connect, then it is very likely that this is a congestion problem. Basically there are too many access points and devices, that some devices will not be able to transfer data properly, even when the wifi is connected.

The first way to try to get around this problem, is to change the channel on your router, you can read more about how to in pages like these:

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/21132/change-your-wi-fi-router-channel-to-optimize-your-wireless-sign...

Secondly, you can try out a dual band router which can also serve at 5Ghz, M5 supports the 5Ghz band, and most laptops also do. So you should see a lot better connection. I just switched to a dual band wifi router 2 months ago.
