Wi-Fi error on Xperia U

I have been using the mobile from the past 4 months and suddenly today the wifi and Bluetooth refuse to turn on, I get an Error message under the wifi checkbox and the ikons dont get activated upon clicking. Tried doing version upgrade fix, restart etc, but no use.

Appreciate any help on this.
