Why Sony is not releasing new updates for Arc

From past two days there is not even a single SI No. Updated and even you  people are not interested in telling when you are going to release updates for xyz country .

No, but as I said in a prevous post I work in the same industry and I know that what Sony did with this update is at least stuppid if nothing else. It is against everything that is described as "best practice" in every service or product providers guide, which in this case is Sony.

Well that is even worse. So all of the people here are trying to get answers from people, that are not representatives of the company, that is maintaining the devices we have. Can you then give us some contact point to which we can address our questions?

again they are not going to reply, if you check other threads like this they didn't and when they did, they gave the same answer that you can see on the SI threads.

Whatever answer you can get here is only best guess. As you can see form the thread there is not a single Sony representative arround. So what you can do is wait. I personally do not recommend updating manually because it is questionable if you are going to void your warranty or not. My guess is - you will void it.

Or you can try asking your questions to the Sonny support, which is better idea. However be very carefull to select your country, because otherwise you will be told that the support service is not answering for your country. Already happened to me once.

I am working in kuwait, and i have 3 sony phones, xperia arc, xperia ray & xperia active.

none of above got android 4 update. sony is disappointing its users.

SONY ERICSSON is 100 times better than sony, as i got 2 times updates for my xperia arc & ray with in a short period.

Hope i shall get android 4 update with in a week,

other wise it's better to shift to either HTC or SAMSUNG as they are giving quick updates.

Eagerly waiting for updates.

SONY don't disappoint your users.
