why sony ericsson is not improving wt13i software?????????

when the new updates will be available for mix walkman?? here are some suggestion and hopes sony will imporve that bugs.its realyy annoying,

1. phone get hanged during recieving incomming call,touchsreen stop working.

2. on pinch to zoom camera clicked images the image got blurred with a slight zoom

3. camera images lack details and sharpness,it appears as if the images are distorted beside having a 3.2 megapixel.camera have no nightmode setting.

4.no file manager ..realyy irritrating

5. very poor audio quality both in headphone and speaker,volume is very low

6.there is no album video sending option through bluetooth.

7.battery backup below average.

8.limited java application support

9.no theme applying option

10. no option to change walkmna player skin.music player even does not have a repeat option.

11.when applying a 240 * 400 resolution wallpapers the image fit to screen in vertically but as the phone rotates horizontally the wallpaper does not fit to the screen rather it adjust itself in half way.

12.phones goes slow down when navigate through a song list in walkman player or camera album.

13.every time accesing a system through java application it shows a message ALLOW APPLICATION TO READ AND WRITE USER DATA.

HOPES SONY WILL CONSIDER THE ABOVE AND PROVIDE A BETTER SOLUTION TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I've got WT13i too and I've found bunch of errors. To be honest I am very dissapointed with it as I relied on Sony reputation. Software update doesn't fix anything. It even make the situation worse. After update new bug appeared. Pressing item on the list does not select it every second time altough vibration responds always. It is really malicious.

All list of bugs found so far:

- alarm sometimes doesn't fire up!; my boss don't have to be as idulgent with me as I am with this phone...

- phone doesn't work with Sony MDR-EX38iP headphones; lack of stadard even in the same company? what a mess!

- the phones output is too silent for me too; the most silent player I've had

- it hangs for no reason; Is it strike against someone or something?

- it locks itself while browsing the mp3 list with slider and while reading note keeping finger on it

- player doesn't jump to next track on the list from time to time; it stops between tracks

- no gapless mp3 support!

- player scans files on microSD card after each switch-on itself, altough there is option made in the player menu; it takes ages every morning to get to the player with 15GB of mp3s; regardless to that it takes time for scan the folder again when entering the list in the player, so what is the first scan for?

- when selecting a track for alarm sound it shows the list with all tracks of selected artist instead sorting it into albums like in player; difficult to browse very long list

- player doesn't respect the track number and filename of mp3; newly added mp3 is added at the end of the list altough it has tracknumber selected

- player plays albums only in loop; no way to switch it off

- playlists doesn't work

- phone doesn't finish the connection when other side had finished; the counter is still counting and the money is going into space!

- clicking on background to prevent locking the touchpad waiting for refreshing the playlist causes selecting the item from the list after refreshing is done; confusing...

- after finishing the Quadrapop game menu is running rapidly in different directions for few seconds

this makes me think twice or triple before spending money on more expensive models and brings me dark reflections about the direction that whole world is going nowadays...

I will forward both your comments so it can be taken in consideration for future software releases and products.

For some of the issues you have I suggest you try to repair the software with Update Service, http://www.sonyericsson.com/update.

Some of the things you mention are not considered bugs/faults but simply according to specification. The lack of a file manager is a good example of this.

LOL. After instaling the update you mentioned, new bug occured: I can't select the item from list after scrolling the list by sliding finger on the middle of it. I have to select item twice altough the heptic feedback respodns everytime.

To be honest it seem to be malicious. It is not the way people do mistakes developing software.

Hello...Friends am also seriously disappointed from this phone..

But I have one good news for you all,,that is i have found the way to install applications from pc to phone instead of directly downloading on phone"The way is to save downloaded applications on PC in "others" folder by connecting phone with PC,then disconnect phone and go to settings and then application setting and at last select install apllication,,you will be given list of all the applications saved in "others" folder.

I am facing the problem that whenever i try to use wifi...it shows connected but when i try to run browser it gives an error that please on your popups...Please anybody can help me in this?

I agree completely. I bought this huge disappointment of a phone after my much-loved W595 finally packed up.

For a product that carries the tag "Walkman", this is a shameful piece of junk.

- Can't access EQ from the Walkman window but have to navigate to settings/music, and even then there are just a few presets, no option for a user EQ.

- Volume seems have about 4 settings - Too Loud/Sort Of OK But Not Quite/Too Quiet/Off.

- No way to create playlists without downloading some rubbishy app that I don't want.

- Walkman player just repeats a folder, can't find any way to disable this, which is really really annoying as I like to fall asleep listening to audio books or music.

- FastForward/Rewind has about as much precision as a cluster bomb.

- Zap feature; too easy to trigger by accident (while trying to operate the above-mentioned rubbishy FF/Rew), and just downright irritating. Does anybody actually use this..?

- Walkman window doesn't respond to phone being held sideways. i.e. no landscape view. (Which might improve the FF/Rew but I'll never know.)

- Can't delete, or in fact do anything with, audio files without connecting phone to my laptop.

- Contacts "Search" just doesn't work, period.

- Can't connect Wi-Fi, online manual is no help at all. Or rather, can connect Wi-Fi, but internet apps on phone still refuse to connect.

- Calls often don't disconnect properly.

- SD card slot is badly designed and makes it difficult to extract the card without breaking something.

I mean, come on Sony Ericsson. This is supposed to a WALKMAN for goodness sake. I really really liked my W595 (except for that terrible design of data-socket, which is what killed it in the end 😞  )  But this WT13i, for a phone that looks so cute and actually seems pretty good at first try, is a massive let down.

I found this thread while optimistically looking for a software update. But obviously no. Despite the poor feedback that you must surely have had from people who have bought this half-baked product, your attitude seems to be a predictable "No chance, we've had your cash. Just lump it."

bottomline, do not buy SONY products as they wont cater cusmer needs effectively.

PS. Their products are full of bugs which they themselves cannot fix. If you want good phones, go for samsung:smileyangry:

i agree also. it is more beautiful my S700i than to this mix walkman. im an avid fan of SE but when i brought this mix walkman of SE im so disapointed!!! it is the worse phone i ever had because it is too expensive for it features!! no folder. not gif supported. i told to my friends to boycot these SE now. i'll shift to samsung now. not unless they upgrade their feature. im sorry for this guys.
