This is the software update page of Xperia mini pro saying that, "New software is available for your Xperia™ smartphone"
indicating rollout of ICS update
The same is indicated in all the Global websites of Sony mobile (Xperia mini pro software update page)
While this thread shows that the SI numbers eligible for ICS update will be uploaded "SOON", indicating that ICS update is not rolled out yet.
This is clearly AMBIGUOUS information provided by Sony.

The thread was posted on 29th May 2012 and since there are 90000+ views.
This a clear statistics showing how people globally are desperate for the update.
Rolling out the update ASAP would be APPRECIATED.

One of the superuser commented on a thread similar to this on saying that,
If you find your SI in the released software table the software for your device is released and available in PC Companion and Bridge for Mac where you can update your Xperia™ Smartphone.
We will continue to add items in the list as soon as they are released.
We will however not be able to answer on questions like: "When will SI number XXXX-XXXX be added to this list?" or "when will country X get the update?"
Since SONY cannot tell "When will SI number xxxx-xxxx be added to the list?"
They can surely aswer this question,
"When will Sony mobile create a released software update table?"

I'am a customer for Sony Ericsson since 2008
but i had'nt seen a bad treatment like this before Sony and Ericsson separated
and about the update i think the update is ready and start to roll out but our SuperUser and Moderator of the forum forget that there is Xperia Mini/Mini Pro/Active/LWW phones in the world , i think they just know about ْ Xperia Neo/Neo V/Pro/Arc/Arc S/Ray

But then at the end, all these will not help a bit. As Sony (and the company solely) reseves all the rights to decide whether to provide us with the update or not. They can make promises but at the end of everything they have the terms and conditions according to which they can change their whole plans without any prior notice. Agreed it is unfair, but then, we can not do anything.
Only thing that's ensuring us, that we will recieve the update is the fact that the company promised to us, and if they do not fulfill it, it will be a black spot on thier image.
The best and saddest example is the Xperia Play. But Play users could not help it.
Currently, in my opinion I find a few things that need to be done.
Some Sony official should confirm us what's going on, and should disclose to us if things are going according to their plan (that would mean they planned to give the mdpi devices their scoop last), or if there's some problem. In case they ended up with some trouble, they should (may) tell us what the problem is. Then we can make an idea till when our waiting might get stretched. (please do this Sony, if possible. Thanks)
And of course, we can just wait. Without complaining much. As we will recieve the update sooner or later.
