Hi!
It's a bad situation with ICS for xperia p, as far as I can understand from this forum. I am completely new to smart phones, so I am wondering what new features ICS will have over the current gingerbread? Why do you guys want this so much? Not knowing what I am missing, I would rather hope Sony releases a rock-stable gingerbread... 😉
hi madsen...
do you now buy a new Computer with a Windows XP OS, which will not be able to update to Windows7 ??? I dont think so !!!
XP or Windows 7, I don't care as long as the computer is stable and does what I want it to do, but that is at all not what I am asking. My question is what do you want from ICS that is not found in Gingerbread? Please let me know why you all want this so much.
1)UI & Font System:-ICS 4.0's UI is better dan gb . It is much sleekier than Gingerbread. The new font system of ICS 4.0 also called Roboto is specially designed for high resolution screens and brings a magazine-like feel to the entire interface.
2)Data usage and Network Data management:-Android ICS 4.0 has better data usage management and ICS has its own built-in network traffic monitor system.
3)Browsing potential:-ICS has faster browsing speed when compared to Gingerbread.
4)Multitasking & Widgets:-ICS adds a new dimension to both these concepts with Recent Apps button to switch from one task to another
5)Screenshots:-Just hold down the volume down key and the power button to capture the screen.
Other notable features in ICS which were missing in Gingerbread are:-
1)Unified tablet and smartphone API
2)Face unlock
3)Improved Speed
also better security than gb
Hi, madsen. I'm waiting for ICS for several reasons: the New design, the new interface; more smooth work flow with no rips while scrolling in the list of applications; perhaps, longer battery life (at least, Sony promises to this); and, of course, actual at the moment the version of the software, which allows you to install some applications that do not work on 2.3.7, for example, Google Chrome. Also after the release of the official ICS third-party developers will create unofficial firmware, for example CM9, CM10, MIUI, etc. And it is likely that these unofficial firmware will be for many much better and more convenient than the official ICS. Something like this))
All the differences listed here, take a look.
