Why has ICS slowed my Xperia S down so much?

Okay, so i've just updated my phone to ICS, but the problem is that it has slowed my phone down a lot, as in even sliding between each screen is lagging, (along with games and even loading the dial screen) and it freezing a lot too!

Is there anything i can possibly do, or is it possible to downgrade to Gingerbread?

Please help...im so fed up now, and i used to love my phone!

Personally i don't think my Xperia S has become slower after the ICS update. It's hard for me to tell if the issues in your phone is related to a lot of widgets etc that can case the phone to slow down a bit, or if it's some software issue. I would suggest that you try to repair the software to see if the problem still persists. As of today, it's not possible for you to downgrade to GB again unless you root your phone.
