Where are the W960i Software Downloads

Hi All Newbie here,

                         Can anyone point me to the software download for my W960i because it certainly isn't on the Walkman Family Download page, I wiould be very grateful if you can, many thanks in advance.

I think that the software for W960i might be removed from the support site but I sent a sprend link to you on your E-mail. You can download it from there.

Likewise, I wish to re-install the firmware on my W960i and it would appear that I cannot.

The W960i is not even listed as an option on SEUS anymore.

What harm does it do to leave the firmware on the server for people to re-install it if required?

The W960i may not be a current model but it is far from ancient. This is very poor bordering on non existant long term support.

Sony Ericsson please reconsider. I'd appreciate it if a link is available maybe it can be shared with myself as well. Thank you.

Unfortunately you will need to visit a service centre location to have the firmware reloaded on to this device this is the only way to achieve this task.

Thank you for your reply. A far from ideal situation but if that's the way it is then so be it.

The situation has given me yet another reason why I will not be buying another Sony Ericsson product. I didn't think it would be possible for there to be any more reasons than I already had.

I wonder if people buying expensive high end Sony Ericsson phones today know that they could find support being cut to their product a lot sooner than they might think.

I am sorry to hear that, however not all support for that device has been removed only the Update Service. My suggestion is to contact Sony Ericsson directly and see what support they can provide you. Use the link below,

Please see the post above aozmaden, there is no way to achieve this task as it is no longer available for the W960. You will need to get the handset to a service centre if you wish to have the software repaired.
