I've had to download another app on my Z3 the original notifier stopped working my whatsapp messages got another one and although fiddly to get working it worked and works on any app you include, it puts a second identical app on the screen then you remove the original one, you can also customise the size and things on it, it also works on a Motorola E as the whatsapp didn't work on that either
