Allright, I think I have a solution to this problem.
I am a LENOVO S930 phone user and have experienced THE same problem on sharing
videos on WhatsApp. After uploading the video, and sharing it to friends. The Audio is there but
the video is just like blinds of white and grey lines.
SOLUTION : Like one of the users has posted, the Problem lies NOT with WHATSAPP or YOUR PHONE per se actually.
The problem lies on the RESOLUTION of your video. Most video taken by phones now are HIGH resolution if not in HD format.
So, you may need to go to your Camera settings and lower the resolutions to VGA standard, That means you need to lower the resolution of your video
from HD to SD (Standard Definition) or lower it to 640x480.
If you have already taken the Video in HD format.. Dont fret.. its allright, you need to go to Google Store or Play Store or wherever you go to download apps. Search and download apps that will compress videos. Download them and use them to lower your HD vids to normal SD 640x480 size. After compressing them, try to re-share it. Im sure it will work.
Ive tried re-shooting a video with the SD 640x480 video resolution. IT WORKED. So now Ive downloaded an app called VIDEO COMPRESSOR by ANDROID PIXELS. Its a kewl software that allows you to compress your HD vids into SD VGA. and you can still maintain the original length of the video, but compressing in its original length may take some time.
WORD OF WARNING THO : This app is FILLED with a lot of Ads. So be carefull. So Better method is to put your camera to VGA format.
