Whatsapp not working properly

I don't know if this problem afflicts other devices, but since I updated Whatsapp to the newest version (the Holo-themed one) my Xperia Z refuses to notify new messages until I manually unlock the screen, which makes the app totally useless. This usually happens after Stamina Mode kicks in, but I white-listed WA so there shouldn't be no problem.

Has anyone already faced the same issue? Any solution apart from disabling Stamina Mode?

Did you enable stamina mode, and if so, did you whitelist the whatsapp app? Else it will not sync with screen off, on the other hand, it would also not have synced with the previous version of whatsapp wich confuses me a bit :-0

I agree with Ronaldfromholland, if the stamina is on then it will turn off your wifi and/or data when the screen its off, which is needed for whatsapp to work.

He did say that his Stamina Mode is ON and that he already add WA to whitelist. =X

I had the same problem as him as well. However, after I unlock, the message notification is active. After that, it seems to work again even when screen is off. So I'm not really sure why although the first time, I was msg from a new number that is not in WA list.

The likely cause of the problem is that whilst WA has been added to the white list to continue operating notifications as a whole are still disabled through stamina mode. I am not currently aware of a way around this.

i have latest version of whats app but it not working. everytime when i open the application a message is displayed " Your phone date is inaccurate! adjust your clock and try again". i am totally confused. the date and time are accurate.
