Whatsapp application issue

Dear Team

i purchased my cell sony xperia p 2 months back and i have also udated the software ,,But i am facing the issue with whatsapp application as it is not connecting and i m also not abl to uptae my status is is showinf the message

Error Message:-

Unable to connect .Please check that you are connected to the internet and try again.

Please reboot your phone if your connection problem persists.

********************

However all other application which are using internet are getting connected to internet properly.

So I don't think the problem is with internet connection.

Please suggest.

I dont have any antivirus installed..I have checked it again but same error....

i have tried it already when to told to check antivirus but showing the same error when the home screen appears of application to enter the no ....

that's quiet odd, and all other apps work? open the browser and go to: speedtest.net

it in internal storage but in application setting it is noty giving me excess to move the application on sd card...

speedtest.net test done but showing the same message again ..

i have also put a mail to whatsapp support and waiting for reply pls help me with a proper solution as i am not ableto use this appliaction waiting for support team reply
