What we like to see for Xperia Z3

Hi Sony and to all! 

I created this post message so that hopefully Sony would read the comments and what we like to see for the Xperia Z3 and subsequent smartphones! Hopefully everyone could contribute a little to help Sony in ways they can improve their phones and customer experience!  

I have seen and read reviews regarding the Sony Xperia Z2 and tried the predecessors myself and I find them a great pleasure to use them, except that they have minor flaws which I hoped Sony could fixed. The camera, interface and speed of the phones were really awesome and I appreciate tha.

What I like to see for Xperia Z3 would probably be the similar expectations that the Z2 has already met plus a few minor fixes. One would be the waterproof open microUSB port, as it seems the Sony SmartBand already has it. This is because up to Z2, there was a genuine fear that the flaps covering the microUSB port would eventually break one day, considering we now charge our phones everyday.While there are wireless charging and magnetic charging dock that are often for charging at our desks or at home, it seems none is catered for charging outdoors (i.e. via portable charger or charging at say our school or secretly in the library). It seems rather ridiculous to bring around the magnetic charging dock around sometimes. Thus, since the SmartBand has pioneered the creation of waterproof open microUSB port, hopefully we would see this on the Xperia Z3.

I am not sure if we are able to customise our LED lighting settings but it would be nice if we can. For instance, say orange for charging, dark blue and light blue for Facebook and Twitter notificaiton respectively... etc 

And I hoped that Sony would provide a greater variety of bundles not only just at Sony official stores but also in the different Telecoms retail shops (i.e. Xperia Z2 bundled with Cover Style Casing and DNC Headset, because they are really exclusive for the Z2 only). 

We learn the existance of law of diminishing return and certain expects that would "improve" the phone specification at the cost of a much higher price should be discouraged from the Z3 too.

We find the 20.7 Megapixel camera great so like the improvement over Z1 to Z2, I find it not necessary to step up the pixels and maybe improving the functionality of the camera. As for the screen, 1080p works great and is the expectation in the market, thus no need to improve it further for the Z3 in six months time (perhaps in future phones like Z10?!? But at the present moment, I see no reason to it.) 

Like the Samsung S5 and iPhone, I'm not sure of the serious implementation of the finger print scanner as really, I find it rather pointless. Eventually, finger print scanner could be hacked as the iPhone has clearly demostrated. I would rather Sony devote more resources to find ways to locate and track lost or stolen phones which would deter would-be thieves in the first place. Even simple things like having the option to not allow the phone to be turned off while in screen lock so that the thief cannot shut down the phone's sort of "transponder" to locate the phone while it is missing (and since battery is non-removable). 

I am not sure if I want a Z2 compact though. 

All in all, I hope Z3 would have a more varied LED notification lights, opened waterproof microUSB port and reconsider the real need for fingerprint scanner even higher camera resolution. 

It would be nice if everyone comments and write their expectation for the Xperia Z3 here to help Sony see where to improve!

My improvements wishlist for the Z3 over Z2:
DISPLAY:
1. 5.2-5.5 inch QHD IPS LCD.
DESIGN:
1. exposed waterproof mini USB port.
2. thinner bezel.

3. front, back and camera lens sapphire glass with scratch resistance and oleophobic coating and without a film.

4. "self healing" chassis.

5. a new design.
PROCCESSOR:
1. S810.
2. 4GB RAM. 
STORAGE:
1. minimum of 32gb internal storage.
CAMERA:
1. substantialy improved camera software.
2. 3 dimensional OIS.
3. true tone dual LED.

4. the newer thinner xenon flash module if possible.
BATTERY:
1. Bigger battery.
OTHER:
1. IR.

2. reliable none swipe fingerprint scanner or tap combination to unlock.

3. the new small USB 3.0 standard port.

4. 3 microphones – HD voice.

A few simple ideas:

Sony to actually test the hardware fully before release so they don't end up with another Z1 Compact flash bleed issue.

Software releases tested fully before being pushed out, all we seem to see on the forum these days is complaints about new software releases introducing more new bugs on to phones that worked OK on the older software, how come phone owners find so many bugs in new software? Has Sony actually got anyone testing it before signing it of?

The Z2 spec looks pretty good as it is, for the Z3 add a bit more ram, minimum of 32gig internal storage, xenon flash alongside the led, a more powerful battery, sort the camera processing out & allow owners to uninstall all the bloatware!

Also a compact version is a must!

Here's a tip: It would be an idea if Sony released less new handset models each year so the team could actually concentrate on the best of Sony, not the current situation of quick we need yet another new handset to release who cares about all the bugs / faults get it on the market!

Sony, take a long hard look at this forum & listen to all the people complaining about hardware & software issues with your products!

Profiles for screen by SRGB standard or make screen by SRGB standard. Anyway all image are designed for SRGB standard, and enhanced range is color distortion

I would like to see a change in both ui and the omnibalance design. A change is really needed and also it would be better to make the bezzels thiner. A fingetprint scanner is also needed. it could be at right or at the back too. Having new features such as eyescanner or white subpixel could attract customers. A good cooling system and a better ip certificate would do good.

It is better to remove all of the ports and also a more lasting battery is needed.

I would like to see restart choice when I pressed long to on off button and an app to close all the apps which are running in back ground and it dont have to run

1.make the phone a little bit shorter (5.78in is too much)
2.KEEP the ps3 controller compatibility and add ps4
3.IR blaster
4.better pixel density
5.more scratch resistant and better water resistance
6.lighter (if that's even possible)
7.better internal storage (32GB, 64GB)
8.louder and clearer stereo speakers
9.more options when shooting in 23.7MP
10.fix the overheating issue with 4K and other apps (and other problems with 4K)
11.better CPU (2.5GHz like the GS5 and HTCM8)
12.better front facing camera
13.a little bit larger battery
14.less radiation maybe???
15.a mic as good as the STM10 implemented in the phone itself
16.i think the color on the sides in the z1 (especially the purple color) looks better than just aluminum the z2 so i hope they bring that back in the next flagship

and that's it i guess, i don't know if that's really what i expect from it but more of what i think my perfect phone would be.

I love SONY products including the XPERIA range of phones - I still own my SONY ERICSSON XPERIA ARC S that's few years old but just goes to show the awesomeness of the SONY products. I use my smartphone for many things, navigation, photographs and calls. Here is what I would like in the next SONY XPERIA Phone:

I would like there to be a removable battery so that in an emergency (when I am out cycling for instance and navigation and calls are important for me) I can just switch the battery.
I know this is difficult if the phone is waterproof - but surely you can find a way of doing this.

I love the camera and always appreciate using it - so the more awesome the visual quality on the camera the better.

I would like there to be more storage 32gb minimum and Micro SD Card compatability in addition to that.

Internet and GPS are extremely important to me as I am a heavy unlimited Internet user and am always connected and this is another reason I would stress longer lasting batteries aswell as having them removable and changing them as mentioned before.

I love the phones so please keep up the good work.
