What is rooting ? How do i Unlock boot loader , Install custom things Xperia p

I want to install custrom rom like moon walker hd .How do i do it ?. I am completely new to this thing help me

very simple follow this with care and aft reading it completely !!

1. to root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335992 downolad v14 that is for xperia p and u should be inlatest jb build (i.e .100)

2. then install this recovery , this is used to flash the custom rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020895

3. bootloader is unlocked only to install custom kernel but unlocking bootloader voids your warranty !!

and also do no flash a custome kernel in your device without unlocking your bootloeader

There is always risk while rooting. JackxperiaP 4 days ago i rooted my phone because of you & now while flashing Xperia zu settings & quick toogles my notification bar & setting app disappears forever.Please help me!!

Try to repair your phone or flash the custom rom again, I mean do the first thing you do after you root.

if it is risk how come thousands of ppl using custom rom, mods etc bro??  even me too using a custom rom.. nothing to worry , just flash the stock file using flashtool http://www.flashtool.net/download.html, then download this ftf file https://mega.co.nz/#!ngwBARRJ!H_XrsU5RH9iGN-iH3COmRlXf2xImsSnXy7DpJ4wYT3A ..this is the file which ll help u always .. if you get bricked or something goes wrong use flashtool and flash this file, this is your stock .100 jb rom .. Easy !!

before flashing any mod pls read the thread abt the users who report a prob abt that mod then it ll be easy for your to overcome it.. u want zu settings right jus flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422819  .. you have everything in it like zu wiht themes, cyber shot camera, and everything !!

I have downloaded stock version of 625 mb but i don't know why but i could not able to download flashtools from any of your links. So can i download flashtools from link provided by me in my previous comment?

i do not know how does that flashtool works .. s the stock file is 625 mb .. but try it once with the link you provided .. u should choose flashmode when asked .. hereafter always make a backup using cwm and then try your liked mods!! i too have bricked my mob a thousand times !! then i flash it with the stock ftf file 🙂 prob solved .. sometimes i get bootloop whr i cant even enter into my mob and all the time only flash tool helps me !! try and report back bro

On all flashtools site it is written that it only work with unlocked bootloader devoces but my phone bootloader is locked.What will happen if i repair my phone through pc companion?
