Brand new xperia s. Looks nice, sleek. good interface etc etc. Plugged in the computer and the drivers would not load. Cant see the phone on the computer. pc companion cant recognise it eiher. Spend 4 hrs rebooting uninstalling and reinstalling everything i can think off but nothing seems to work.
my x10 works perfectly and it's a 2 year old phone. what the hell is going on? should i return it back and get a whole new phone?
install SUS then restart your PC -> run sus -> connect your phone on flashmode, your computer will start looking for the drivers, make sure to turn off your firewall and antivirus

right there seems to be two issues here.
one is that something is forcing the phones to reload the drivers again when the drivers have been successfully reinstalled creating an endliess loop of failed installations.
the updates secondly between the pc companions that comes preinstalled from the phone and the updates on the net are causing a conflict of some sorts.
it's takes me 20-30 minutes just to get the phone to be recognised and then when i take out the phone it once again tries to reinstall and boom it becomes unrecognissable yet again.
This sad situation means i have to reinstall the drivers everytime i plug in my phone just to access the storage medium. sigh
sony what the hell are your software engineers doing? how come my x10 works so flawlessly even with the bug ridden pc companion and yet the flagship phone is not?
did you tried to install SUS?

Do you have any software for any other similar third party device installed on your PC, particularly anything else that connects in MTP mode?
