i have xperia pro mk16 and i am using a secured wifi connection in my office.the proxy setting provided in android 4 is not sufficient to connrct to the internet.i tried all the setting and many apps but got no result.after lot of searching and trying many apps i came to dicision that ics allows the internet traffic only for browser if u r in a proxy server it can not allow other apps to connect to the internet.i also found that it allows facebook app to run but it doesnt allow fb to load images.it seems strange but it is happening to me.i can brows internet flwlessly but no other app.if i wanna play a youtube video in browser or in its own app i cant run as youtube need a flash player and flash player is itself an app in android so proxy setting blocks the interner traffic to run it.it happens to rest of the apps also like gmail,google play,gtalk,maps etc
i searched an app to solve this problem named AS Proxy but it needs the phone rooted.now i m thinking to root the phone but fearing of damaging the fone as i am not a tech expert. so guys i need ur help. plz help me to figure out this problem.
