Weird Software behavior

Of late, My sony xperia Tipo Dual has been behaving in a weird way. 

Here is what happens.

I unlock the phone and then when I want to open an app or any menu then all different things open up. For example- If I want to see the list of apps in the Appstore menu then messaing might open up or calculator opens up etc.

Many different applications open up including apps for yahoo and outlook. Even SMS with incoherent messages have been sent(like XLSS;A ) a couple of times. I have tried to reset the phone a few times but without success. The problem keeps coming back. My phone is 10 months old only. 

The software version is 11.0.A.6.8.

This behavior is really frustating.

Could you please suggest a solution?

Try booting up the phone in safe mode. Switch off the phone and then switch it on, and when the screen with the SONY logo appears, tap the menu button intermittently until the phone boots into safe mode. This mode disables all third party apps. So if the phone workd properly in safe mode, the problem is probably due to some recently installed app. Uninstall it and then reboot normally to get out of safe mode, and see if the problem persists. If it persists, you may have to repair your phone through PC companion, I fear. By the way you haven't mentioned exactly how long the phone has been having the problem.
