Waterproof Flaps Coming Out?

The waterproof flaps slowly eased themselves out on my phone but I found that after a gentle clean with some kitchen tissue and methylated spirit, they adhered much better. I cleaned both the flap seal (a bit awkward) and the seat.

I wonder if dust and finger grease reduces the friction on the seal over time.

If you do the same, it's at your risk of course.

It's due to normal, wear and tear. It will affect the covers.

If that was the case, cleaning wouldn't help.

Its better to use the Dock to avoid this wear and tear problem.

You could buy the flaps from a nearby mobile store and replace it yourself. Better,faster and saves more than sending it in for repair at Sony Xperia Center

My phone is brand new, and the flap from the SIM card pops itself out. Any suggestions?

If you remove the SIM card and holder temporarily, does the flap stay put? If so it's possible the holder is sticking out by a fraction of a millimetre. Get some tweezers to push and pull the holder and make sure the holder is in as far as it can go.
