After some 4-5 days of updating my Z1 to KitKat, I am noticing some strange dialogue box appearing after charging my unit.

As soon as I plug out the charger from the phone's USB port this message box appears but if I pull out the charger straight from the wall socket and keep the Micro USB pin attached to the phone's USB port it does not pop up.

I've seen this message once when I opened the Micro SD port even when the phone wasn't on charge or connected to my laptop.

I am confused as in some earlier thread somewhere I read that Z1 has got no sensors to detect the flap attachment, then how come I'm getting this message just after everytime I pull out the charging pin from the phone's USB port.

And it has started happening just after the 4.4 update. It never appeared with 4.2 or 4.3

it is a nice feature to remind the user but I'm curious to know how it happened when I opened the Micro SD port even when there is no recognized sensors and also the phone wasn't connected with any external power source!!

Hi, it's a reminder that you should close it after you remove the charger and/or memory card. You can turn that off by checking the box when the alert comes up.

Hi there,

That is a reminder and notification just for you that advising to make sure the flaps are completely closed.

It´s not a sensor and you can remove it if you mark "Don´t tell me again"

It happened once to me and I did not update to 4.3 yet.I do not know if there is an app that is related to this message(I suspect smart connect but I do not think it is).I will try to find out more.

Yes I figured that I can switch off the message box by clicking on the check box, which I don't even want to as its a good security add-on Sony introduced.

I was puzzled that, if I connect the charger or any power supply the phone will detect the attachment and also the detachment of that power source and hence can pop up that particular dialogue box, but how come it happened when I opened the flap of Micro SD, as soon as I opened it the message popped even when the phone was not connected with any power source or any other accessory wired or unwired! I was shocked as without sensors it is impossible to happen according to my understanding!

It is strange indeed,you only opened the flap or removed the SD?It could be related to the USB port,they are pretty close...

Nope just the flap of Micro SD was opened and I did not push out the memory card, just opened the flap got the message box popped up, shut the flap..That's it. Even if the USB port was opened by mistake along with how come the message box can appear if no power source or accessory was connected and also when Sony has confirmedofnosensorsforthis!

But yah now when I'm trying to do the same the message box is not appearing apart from deporting the charger's USB head from the phone's USB port.
