Water inside my Xperia Z2

Hello everyone,

recently I've been bringing my Xperia Z2 to the beach and take pictures under water, after that I always washed the phone with tap water and everything was okay, until few days ago when I brought my Xperia Z2 in a pool and I recorded some videos while I was riding some water slides.

Some water got inside the phone even if the usb/microSD flaps were closed, I noticed that only when the touch screen wasn't working properly anymore, and there was some condensed water inside the camera lens, plus the white small stickers placed in the USB and microSD slots are still white.

I turned off the phone and put it into a bag filled with rice for two days, now still the touch screen isn't working that good, for example when I try to use the keyboard and write something, but everything else works perfectly.

Now I think that there's still some water left under the screen, infact I noticed that the phone detects inexistent finger taps only in the lower area of the screen, I don't know if I should send the phone to the Sony assistance center to be honest...

I wanted to ask what you think I should do, because I'm still able to use the phone, I thought that maybe I could wait few more days and try to leave the phone in the rice bag again and see what happens(?)

Thank you

Some would say open the flap and try and heat up the phone by playing games or recording in 4K etc, However if none of those type of things work then you could continue to use it or return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Let the phone to dry is a good idea, I would also contact Sony Xperia Support and see what they suggest or if you need to send it to get evaluated.

Thank you for answering me, I thought that I shouldnt've kept using the phone, but maybe it's actually a good idea to keep using it and try to make the water dry, I can see 3 small white dots in the lower area of the screen under the "back" and "home" buttons I guess that's water...
