Hi,
As long as all the lids were closed the water should not enter the phone. Does the issues persist even when the phone has dried out?
Best regards,
It'll be wise to contact your local Xperia Care and request a vacuum test
Maybe i claim warranty cause it wont even charge my phone without its magnetic dock... maybe it got the charging circuit board
now no more signal in mobile data, wifi works mobile data doesn't.
i feel like buying sony phone is a mistake
Similar issue, i just washed my device slightly with water, it wasn't immersed, with all jackets closed, after 30 mins, i see water in screen, and phone starts to vibrate..
Any help?
Hi , The Sony Xperia Z3 Is waterproof as long as all Cover's/lids/flaps are closed. The Z3 has the highest waterproof rating of IP68 , Which means it IS waterproof and Dust tight .
If all the flaps that cover the USB charging port and the MicroSD/ NanoSim were closed and water did enter the device , you should contact sony and reuqest a Vacuum Test. You might have a faulghty device which has manufacturing defect. If so then sony will replace the device for free . If the ports weren't sealed correctly then sony wont do anything about it and you will have to fully pay for a new motherboard or just buy a new device because it isnt worth buying a motherboard for a device which was water damaged.
Also if the speaker was buzzing after the water submersion it is normall as long as everything else is working fine . The membrane covering the speaker has droplets of water on it and thats why its buzzing.
The heat isnt normall if you aren't doing anything with the device.
If you have Droplets of water on camera lens / condensation water has defenetly entered your device.
Ok, i had my phone in a bowl of rice, the repeated vibration has stopped, i can hear audio when i use the volume of keys, but there touch screen doesn't work yet, and there's a thin film of water under the screen.
It's back in the bowl of rice with all the flaps open now.
I guess my mistake was rinsing the phone with warm/hot water, i think moisture got condensed below the screen.
The phone works perfectly now, camera, audio, audio jack, camera button, volume buttons, expect the TOUCH screen.
Any advice?
