Water Damage!
Help me please!
I accidentally dropped my z3 dual in the water when i was about to take a bath, and i know that all port was closed, i took my phone from the water, after 1 min. the sceen is getting white, I switch it off and i waited for 2 min. to turn it on, when i turn in on its working fine. After that i place my phone in the safe place to continue my bath. After 30 min. I try to unlock my phone but its not working. I thought its battery is low, so I plug my charger in, then red light indicator is working and once again I turn it on but still its not working.
After that i return my z3 dual in store where i bought it, then they told me that they will send my phone in their service so, i waited for 2 weeks. Then after that i called them to know whats going on. Then then they told me that, my phone is not gonna work due to water got inside my motherboard. And then they cannot fix it because motherboard is not covered by the warranty, so they told me to send it to sony company and complain.
Now my question is, if i send my phone in any of Sony Branch, would they fix or change my motherboard?

Hi
That's really sad to hear.
Phone is repaired in few countries and in the countries where it is not repaired, the customer is given a new/refurbished phone as a replacement for the damaged phone for half the price of a new phone.
To know the process in your country, you will have to visit sony service center.
Also when you visit them, you can ask them to do a vacuum test to find out whether the flaps are defected or not.
Select your country from the dropdown list

Can you contact the store from where you bought the phone and ask them where is sony service centre. Since they're selling sony phones, they might be having the knowledge of sony in your country better.
Also, just to make sure there are many arabic countries in the drop down list written in Arabic language.
EDIT: do tell me if you don't get help from the store you bought your phone.

Alright ,
here you go http://www.sony-mea.com/microsite/qatar/section/contactus/
There are phone numbers given on the right.
Also you could send an email through the same link. Select Sony mobile communications in the enquiry type

Next you should contact your sony Xperia care and request for a vacuum test.
If you had a faulty device then sony should replace it for free. Tho if the flaps weren't closed properly then you will have to pay for a new device.
From what i hear you dropped it in the bath. As you know bath has a hard floor which could open a bit one of the flap. If it was a hot water it could also harm the advises.
If sony wont replace the device as it was a user made damage then you can do the most popular thing :
Get a bag of rice, open all flaps and puts the phone inside it. Close the bag tightly so no air will come in.
After a week take it out, charge it and try powering it up.
GOOD LUCK!

Luckely law in sweden is diffirent if your device etc cannot be re-paired then repair place is guilty to re-place the damage one with brand new one and not a refurbished one, since refurbished isn't allowed here, so most of times repair center here would just return to store where customer bought it and tell them phone will be re-placed to a new one so store will then give customer a new one straight away.
