Hi,
Does your service centers conduct Vacuum Test? My Xperia Z got water damaged with all flaps closed. Even the simcard litmus turned red. Who forgets to close this flap? I think people normally don't open this flap.
Phone is still working though there is water in the camera glass both back and front plus some water traces/marks behind the lcd. I hope the repair would be covered by the warranty.
Thanks
You have to contact your local repair center
So that depends on country and service center prerogative?
Yes - Sony Mobile Germany told me that they can't do a vacuum test.
Forget the vacuum test, the service centers in India are not even equipped for basic repair. The replacement handset they had provided me the first time had slightly lifted back panel. I asked if its fine they said its normal. Back then I did not know of the issue. But gradually with use it lifted more but I never used it water so din face the issue. Interestingly when they give the replacement I have asked them, is it water proof they say yes. And when I asked the service center guy can you dip it in water and show its fine, before I accept the replacement. He says no sir we cannot do that. You have to do by yourself at your own risk. Lol... This is Sony.
