Warranty question + Battery Problem

Hi

I was wondering if anyone had any luck with getting their phone repaired via warranty whilst having the anti-shatter screen removed. My phone is having the usual battery problem on this site where the battery can one minute have 60% battery then the next 0% before powering off. I accidentally removed my anti-shatter screen whilst removing a screen protector I attached myself. I have since replaced the anti-shatter screen but doesn't have the Sony logo at the top anymore. The problem is with my battery, not the screen. Can anyone advise if I can send it away for repair without incurring the costs of paying out of warranty?

afaik, the shatter screen protector with the sony logo is actually part of the "hardware" unlike the conventional no sony logo they place in as optional on other devices
