Want to buy Xperia Ion phone but looks discontinued on Sony Store

I want to buy Sony Xperia Ion, but I find it strange than this phone is discontinued for sale on Sony Online Store as it shows here:

Can you please tell me if it's a suspicious sign so is better not to buy it, maybe it is discontinued because it has some reported problems?.

Also would like to know if the buttons on the bottom light up during nightine.

You should buy Samsung or HTC will better.

Sony said "Always hearing from customers". Its lying.

We are Xperia ion users, and complained 100000000000 times about Jelly Bean Bugs fix, but Sony didn't care.

i have read a bunch of reviews saying that there is an available Jelly Bean update up the battery and also creates problems with the applications (Google Now) for example, on the other hand I've seen videos on youtube of people showing off their Ion's having JellyBean installed with apparently no problems. 

Do you think the SP is a better option?. Which midranger Sony phone would you recommend me?.

I would go for xperia P, but I do wanna have JellyBean working as well.

Samsung and HTC are too trendy and overpriced and don't wanna go with those.
