Wallpaper Resizing Itself

Hi All,

I seem to have an issue on my Z2 phone. I set the wall paper to be a fixed (i.e. doesnt move around when scrolling the home screens). I then go to the settings menu and then click the home button.. The wallpaper is then zoomed in and resized..

Is anyone else experiencing this or know of a way around it?

It's not possible to have a fixed wall paper on the home screen only the wall paper on the lock screen is fixed. It's not like on a Samsung Galaxy.

it is possible. go to settings, personalisation, wallpaper, photo then select an image. when prompted to select a program, choose photo, then use as. I've done it now repeatedly....

Download Nova Launcher, it is possible with that.

I know what you mean but you can't even adjust the crop if you do it that way. It just select the crop itself and then it looks like it gonna be fixed on the home screen. I know it's quite confusing. I always go to a photo and select use as and then it prompts me to use either as contact picture/ lockscreen wallpaper/ wallpaper with Google+ or with Sonys own Album. It's when you choose google+ it looks like it's gonna be fixed. It's seems like a bug if not I don't know what they thought about😵💫💫💫

Hi,

I think it's actually linked to the Xperia's themes settings that seems to be setting its self when exiting the home screen. The reason I say this is that the wallpaper is genuniely fixed when set on using google+ but super zooms in when you exit the Settings screen by pressing Home.

I really dont know what they were thinking when doing this. I really like a set wallpaper and i like cycling continuously through my menus.. Hopefully there'll be a patch as some stage?

If i download Nova Launcher, do i need to Root my device?

I came from Samsung but had Sony previously so I knew they had rolling wallpapers. I personally find it ok and the continously cycling through the menus irritated me at the beginning but now I don't even notice it.

This is bothering me as i've had a Motorola (Defy), Samsung S2 and the Note. All of these had concessions for both rolling and static wall papers. the cycling was on ,my note only and it was handy.

The benefit of you having an Android device is that if you do not like the way the default launcher works, you can download a large number of third party launchers from the Playstore so that you can customise this to your liking.
