Walkman player problem after Google Maps Beta update

I have a Sony Xperia Go and I recently updated Google Maps to its Beta version. While in navigation mode if I am also playing songs using Walkman it stops playing everytime the Navigation give directions. Any solutions for this? It was perfect before the update.

Simple, uninstall the beta version, settings > apps > all > maps > uninstall updates
