Walkman/music issue

Hi all,
When I play music using the Walkman app the music will randomly mute. I don't mean songs stop playing; the song will be playing but I won't be able to hear anything. This only happens when my phone is locked, with or without ear phones. It usually lasts for about 20 seconds and is really irritating. I've had the phone for about 2 days and I think is as up to date as possible. I haven't tried any other music app. Is there an easy fix? Many thanks

Have you tried cleaning the app's cache?

Is the music you are listening to from an SD card? If yes, what sd card is it? 

what kind of lock do you use?

I've just tried to clean the cache, so far so good. Thanks for that tip.

Yes the music is on my micro SD card. It's a 64GB micro SD. If you need to know the brand then let me know, but it worked perfecly well in my last phone...the only good thing about it.

When I say lock, I press the button on the side of the phone. Many thanks, hope I've helped

Some of us have the same issue because the SD card is not class 10 or more.  There is another thread about that. 

I really hope you don't have that problem.

Mine stops for a milisecond then starts where it left. It doesent bother me though...I have another issue that cant be resolved (or so it seems-acceelometer bug)

If u still have problems with this, check your sd card's class....shoud be latest....

Hi bud, sorry for the late reply. I spent most of yesterday afternoon playing with my nephew. Not seem him for 3 months.

I've just checked my Micro SD and it is a class 10, so it looks like that isn't the proble. I'm guessing its a problem with the Walkman app. Would I be best off downloading a different music player for my phone?
