I cannot connect via VPN PPTP. With Android version 4 it was also not possible.
If i connect with my ipad with the same credentials it works fine.
My Xperia Z3 Compact fails also to connect via VPN.

The integratet VPN from android will not work. Other apps with VPN will work.
I followed the steps provided in your link, without success. These are the same i done before.
